Open PDFs with Microsoft Edge and select the inking tools at the top. When done inking, click the Save button and the ink will save to your PDF.
The new Microsoft Edge browser offers built in annotation for PDFs. Find the PDF on your computer and right click on the file. Select Open with > Microsoft Edge. The PDF will launch in Microsoft Edge and you’ll have an annotation tool bar at the top.
Here you can use the Read aloud option, also found in the ‘…’ options of Edge. Select Draw and Erase to ink your PDF. When you are finished inking, you can either print the PDF or save your PDF with your ink.
Ideas for implementation:
You can use the Microsoft Edge annotation feature to:
- Give students handwritten feedback
- Add flare to any document with handwritten ink
- Make parts of PDFs stand out by circling text, drawing arrows, or highlighting
