Spice up graphics and presentations with copyright friendly icons from The Noun Project!
I am always looking for graphics to use for web pages, advertisements, graphics, banners…the list goes on and on. I also want to be very cognizant of copyright as my creations are often shared. A while back I was introduced to TheNounProject and I have not looked back! This site provides icons for just about anything you can think of, and all the images are copyright friendly! It is a great way to spice up your creations. Create a free account to get yourself started.
Use the search function to locate the icon you want. Simply type an idea into the field.
A ton of images will appear. Scroll through them to find the one that best fits your need for your project. Then select that image.
You have a number of options to edit your image.
- Rotate the image.
- Flip the image vertically or horizontally.
- Change the color of the image.
- Change the background.
- Add a shape around the image.
Once you have the image adjusted, select Get this icon to download it.
To guide you and your students through the process, download and print out this task card.
Ideas for implementation:
- Add visuals to an infographic.
- Create visual prompts for your students.
- Spice up your presentations.
- Share with your students so they can have some fun too!
