Natasha Rachell
Natasha began her educational career in 2004 with the DeKalb County School District. During her time there, she taught high school science (environmental science, physical science, biology and AP environmental science). She left the classroom in 2010 and joined the Department of Professional Learning as the science coach to the Math and Science Transition to Teaching program. While in the PL Department, she taught online, blended and face to face professional learning classes to teachers. Since leaving DeKalb County Schools, she has been employed with Atlanta Public Schools, first as an Educational Technology Specialist and most recently a Science Digital Learning Specialist. Natasha loves being able to share her passion of all things educational and instructional technology with fellow educators to enhance their instruction and keep their students engaged and excited about their learning!
Natasha is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Surface Expert, Google Certified Trainer and Innovator, Alpha Squirrel, Brainpop Certified Educator, and a Plickers Ambassador (just to name a few)! She has a BS in Biology, an M.Ed. in Education Administration, an Ed.S. in Curriculum and Instruction, and is currently working on her Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership w/an Emphasis in Effective Schools. She is a lifelong learner and lives by her favorite quote, “Be the change you wish to see in the world” by Mahatma Gandhi.
Natasha and her husband, Melvin live just outside of Atlanta with their two amazing sons, Elijah and Jacob.
