Mark Henkels

Mark has been a middle school math teacher for 22 years.  Mark has always enjoyed technology, writing his first program in BASIC when he was 11 in 1980-something.  He enjoys sharing his passion for technology and how it inspires ad helps others to be the best educator they can be for their students.  He loves seeing the look on students faces when they get the Aha! moment in his class and believes it is one of the most priceless rewards being an educator can offer. 

After spending some time at University of Arizona, Mark earned his BS in Math Education from East Stroudsburg University and his MS in Curriculum Instruction from University of Phoenix.  He is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Minecraft Global Mentor, Surface Expert, and Microsoft MIE Trainer. 

Mark has been married to his beautiful wife Jess for 11 years and is lucky to be daddy to an 8th grade daughter and 6th grade son.
