Lauren Pittman

Lauren is a Special Education teacher from Canton, Georgia.   Lauren is the Department Head for Special Education at Holly Springs Elementary School in Canton, GA.  She has been in education for 10 years and has devoted her teaching to students with exceptionalities working in both general and adaptive special education.  She got into education after working with students with special needs during a field experience and watching the struggles her sister dealt with while working to overcome her dyslexia and dyscalculia.  She has worked to help her students in the classroom by going paperless with OneNote and the Learning Tools, helping other educators in her community leverage the power of OneNote and other Microsoft products for their students and spread the word on the significance of Learning Tools and how they help students with exceptionalities in the classroom.  

Lauren holds a bachelor’s degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia and is an ESOL and Math Endorsed teacher.  She is currently working on completing her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Curriculum.  Lauren is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Microsoft Surface Expert, PBS Digital Learning Innovator and a Certified Microsoft Educator. She also works as a trainer for her school district as an MIE Trainer and sits on the Superintendent’s Technology Advisory Board.   

Lauren lives in Georgia with her family and enjoys being the best rocks star aunt around.
