Karina Bailey
Karina is a passionate, creative, and dynamic Kindergarten teacher currently living in Atlanta, GA. She has been in education for 11 years and has devoted her teaching to reaching students with a creative approach while integrating technology. Her desire to become an educator was to be the teacher she so desperately needed while she was growing up. She devotes each day to inspiring students to be kind and dream big, and desires to be a catalyst for change among her colleges. Karina infuses character-learning moments into her daily teaching. She has completely transformed her classroom by utilizing Microsoft tools, especially Skype. Her five-year-old students collaboratively investigate the world around them, find similarities and differences, ask clarifying questions, collect data, and solve problems daily with children around the world.
Karina holds a bachelor’s degree from California Baptist University and is an ESOL and Gifted Endorsed teacher. She has additionally taught in California, Arizona, and Texas. She is currently working on completing her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Karina is also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Microsoft Surface Expert, Skype Master Teacher and a Certified Microsoft Educator. She has a passion for coming alongside other educators to assist them in how they can best engage little learners with technology. She serves on the Superintendent’s Instructional Frameworks Design Team as a writer and presenter, serves as a teacher leader in her school and county, and writes curriculum for kindergarten and first grade students around the Nation.
Karina lives in Georgia with her husband Bryan and Brisket the bulldog.
